Lauren Grubb

Lauren Grubb, M.A., CCC-SLP is an ASHA certified, state-licensed speech-language
pathologist. Lauren earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and
Disorders from Missouri State University in 2006 and her Master’s degree in Speech
Language Pathology from the University of Oklahoma in 2008. From an early age,
Lauren had a passion for working with children; after completing her education, Lauren
felt drawn to schools and pediatric outpatient settings. After two years as a speech-
language pathologist in a public school district, Lauren joined Sensational Kids full-
time in 2010. For more than a decade, Lauren has assumed a pivotal role in establishing
Sensational Kids’ speech-language pathology practice. Sensational Kids has provided
Lauren the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients within the clinic as well
as in public and private school settings. Lauren has experience and specialized training
in early intervention, apraxia, Autism Spectrum Disorder, LAMP, language processing,
and natural language acquisition. Regardless of the setting or impairment, Lauren loves
that each child’s path to achieving functional communication is different and unique. In
her free time, Lauren enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, playing
with her dog, hiking, cycling, traveling, and working jigsaw puzzles.

Drew Auchter

Drew graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a degree in Business
Administration. Prior to joining Sensational Kids Drew was the Director of Operations for a local medical facility. Drew joined the team in 2017 and brings 20 years of management experience. Drew is married with two daughters. He enjoys playing soccer, live music, and spending time with his family.

Kari Majors-Casarez

Kari Majors-Casarez, DSc, MOTR/L is our Director of Occupational Therapy and
Fieldwork Coordinator. Kari joined Sensational Kids after receiving her Master of
Occupational Therapy degree in 2005 and later pursued her Doctorate of Science in
Rehabilitation Science in 2022, both from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences
Center. Kari’s doctoral thesis focused on Sensory Play-Based Interventions and
Attention in Young Children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). She
also presented an electronic poster at the World Federation of Occupational Therapy
(WFOT) in August 2022 on occupational therapy practice patterns when treating young
children with ADHD. Kari has completed specialized training to support children of all
abilities, including evidenced-based programs such as the SOS Feeding Program, Talk
Tools, and Handwriting with Tears, and extensive training related to school-based
interventions, Autism Spectrum Disorder and sensory processing disorders. In her
spare time, Kari is most likely found at the ballpark cheering on her two sons, crafting, or
spending time with her family.

Shannon Nagy

Shannon is an ASHA certified, state licensed speech-language pathologist who joined the team at Sensational Kids, Inc. in February 2014. Shannon earned her Bachelor’s degree in 2004 from Oklahoma State University and her Master’s degree in 2007 from the University of Central Oklahoma. Shannon started her career working with adults in skilled nursing and home health but was eager for a change when she joined the Sensational Kids team in 2014. She has experience, certification, and continuing education in the following: Autism, Down Syndrome, AAC, LAMP, natural language acquisition, LSVT Loud, Apraxia, sign language (ASL and SEE), and the SOS feeding approach to therapy. 

Shannon loves working with a variety of children and helping them gain the skills needed to communicate with their loved ones. She also appreciates the opportunity to work with families and equip them with the necessary skills to help their children/family members communicate in their natural environments. 

Outside of Sensational Kids, Shannon loves spending time with her family! She’s married to her high school sweetheart, Eric and has two extraordinary daughters, Evie and Wren. She has 2 dogs (Jinx and Whimsy) and 1 cat (Scout). Shannon loves the band Weezer (she’s seen them in concert over 100 times!), scuba diving, the OSU Cowboys, and the OKC Thunder!

Jovan Pride

Jovan is a registered and licensed occupational therapist who started working for Sensational Kids in September of 2018. He earned his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology exercise science.at the University of Central Oklahoma. He moved on to complete the Master of Occupational Therapy Program at American International College. He is passionate about working with children in Oklahoma City public schools, and enjoys working with the families attending Sensational Kids. Jovan loves to cook, play video games, play sports, and spend time with his family. His special interests include feeding and oral motor skills which he has training in the Sequential Oral Sensory  (SOS) feeding approach course.

Jessica Myers

Jessica is a speech-language pathologist who joined the Sensational Kids team in 2013.  She graduated from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center with a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology in 2008. Upon graduation, she worked in the public schools where she gained experience working with children of all ages and a variety of disorders.  Jessica now serves as the lead speech-language pathologist at the Sooner location. She has training in The Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol and LAMP (Language Acquisition through Motor Planning).  Outside of work Jessica enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends and catching up on the latest Bravo TV shows.

Sarah Pope

Sarah graduated from Oklahoma State with a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Sciences. She completed her masters in occupational therapy at the OU Health Science Center in 2017. Sarah joined the Sensational Kids’ team following graduation and became Lead OT at the Edmond office in 2020. Sarah is a LEND (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disorders) Fellow from the OU Child Study Center and has completed training in SOS Approach to Feeding, TBRI, and is a Certified ADHD Professional. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, reading, and cheering for OSU.

Stacy L Jones

Stacy is an ASHA certified, state licensed speech-language pathologist who joined the team at Sensational Kids, Inc in March of 2020.  She graduated from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma with a Bachelor’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2013. She went on to complete her Master’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Oklahoma State University in May of 2015. Stacy has worked with a variety of ages, as she has worked in the public schools, as well as a skilled nursing facility before joining Sensational Kids.  Stacy has completed training in LAMP Words for Life, Picture Exchange Communication System, and Natural Language Acquisition.  In her free time, Stacy enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She loves spending time outdoors, reading, and crafting with her Cricut.

Alyssa Beane

Alyssa Beane M.S. CCC-SLP graduated with her Bachelor’s of Science degree from Northeastern State University in 2013 and also went on to receive her Master’s of Science degree from there. She has been a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist since 2015 and has been with Sensational Kids since 2017. She now serves as our Lead Speech-Language Pathologist at our Yukon Location. Her experience with pediatrics includes evaluation and treatment of a variety of disorders and developmental delays in children from birth to 18. She has a special interest in early intervention with toddlers as well as treatment of Apraxia of Speech and phonological disorders. In her free time, Alyssa loves gardening, watching sports, and traveling with her husband and their two dachshunds, Darla and Blue.

Robert Long

Robert Long, PT, DPT,  is a licensed physical therapist who has been working at Sensational Kids since 2018. He is the lead physical therapist at Sensational Kids and works primarily at the Yukon and Sooner locations. Robert graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor’s of Science in 2015 before going on to receive his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 2018.

Robert has experience with children from 1 month to 18 years of age with a variety of diagnoses including torticollis, spina bifida, autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, developmental delay and much more.

Robert and his wife Jennifer have a passion for working with children. They have a history as foster parents and own a We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym in Norman.
